COLT: Welcome and Introduction

Posted on December 27, 2015 by PLT Staff

Welcome and introduction given by Charles Marsh at the Conference on Lived Theology and Civil Courage in Charlottesville, Virginia, in June 2003. Marsh gives a brief introduction and explanation of the background and aim of the conference and the Project on Lived Theology.

Excerpt: “I am mindful that this gathering crosses a number of boundaries and it does so by creating, I think, and nurturing an institutional space where theologians and scholars with theological sensibilities are free to appropriate the rich, lived social experience of communities as material for theological reflection.”
